The folks at LinkedIn have been busy people lately. Just noticed the new sidebar. The "What are you working on?" is there attempt at a Facebook, Twitter, et al status update. We need another one of these, why, exactly?
Please tell me I'm simply missing a place to pipe in Twitter updates?
And to add insult to injury, there is a nice AJAXian (sort of) pop up for the status entry, where I happily type away, submit and then it says "Your status text exceeded the maximum length." And that maximum length would be, what? Why can't javascript catch this and warn me before submitting? State a character limit somewhere? Count it down?
