Well, since I stumbled onto veotag.com and the deep tagging meme, thought I'd give it a whirl directly, as an author. Ah, the wonder and danger of the web!
Most of my 18+ podcasts have been on the order of 30-60 minutes long lately, and even though I have transcriptions of many of them, it is still time consuming to enter this information into an interface like veotag. So, I turned back time and chose the roughly 10 minute interview that I had done with my longtime social networking guru insider, Konstantin Guericke (listen either below or on the veotag site), and chose that as my foray into experimenting with veotag.
Take a listen (either below or on the veotag site), and let me know if it's an improvement to tie the audio and text together, whether my attempts are useful (too many tags, not enough, ?), and we'll take it from there. I'm thinking that veotagging is not so useful for audio only tagging, and much more useful for video, but it's too early in my exploration of veotag, and too late at night for this to be a quality judgement call just yet!
By the way, I recommend turning back the clock from time to time to see what you've written or spoken about in your own blog/podcast archives. I'd forgotten that we (Konstantin and I) had some nice nuggets of wisdom in this interview - I particularly like the tie of social networking and a diverse social network as a tool to foster innovation (divergent points of view - nothing new has ever been invented - TRIZ anyone?).
