For better or worse I was unable to make it to the AIIM show in Philadelphia last week - although via numerous reports of the trials and tribulations of getting around in Philly with a cab strike at hand make it sound as though, perhaps, I was lucky not to make the trip, although my colleague (and co-founder of Delphi Group) Carl Frappaolo gave a presentation on search, as well as participated in a panel, both of which were, I'm sure, fiery times, if you've had the fun of seeing Carl in action, you know what I mean (I'm the Bob Newhart/Tom Lehrer-type, and he is the direct opposite, which works well when we are doing tag-team presentations - yin and yang).
In a fit of exploration (on my part) of the many and varied Official Google Blogs today, I stumbled upon mention of a keynote by Dave Girouard, a VP and GM for Google - under the heading "Ready, AIIM, Search". Anyone who happened to sit in on the keynote, I would love to hear your first-hand account.
And this is another reminder that I need to fire up that podcast with Matthew Glotzbach, Head of Products, Google Enterprise. I don't always agree with Google, particularly on the enterprise side, but I sense a big wave coming along that may change that.
Matthew has a much more detailed post on his blog about the substance of the keynote in the post "'Search to Start' At AIIM" - the googlers certainly are busy, eh?
